Chiropractic care at Momentum SportMed assesses and treats musculoskeletal concerns, including joint and muscle pain, mobility restrictions and activity-related injuries.
Chiropractic care is much more than adjustments. Chiropractors assess the spine, joints and extremities, including the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles.
Treatment may include exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, joint mobilization, stretching, mobility work and other evidence-informed approaches based on the practitioner's training and your individual needs.
Spinal or joint manipulation may be considered when appropriate and with your consent, but it is not required as part of your treatment.

Chiropractic treatment is tailored to your individual condition, goals and activity level. Following assessment, your chiropractor may use a combination of hands-on treatment, movement and rehabilitation techniques. The approach can vary based on the practitioner's training and skill set, and an adjustment is not required for chiropractic care to be effective
MUSCULOSKELETAL & NEUROLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
A detailed assessment may include your health history, symptoms, movement, strength, mobility, joint function and relevant neurological testing. This helps your chiropractor understand what may be contributing to your condition and determine an appropriate treatment or referral plan
SPINE, JOINT & EXTREMITY CARE
Chiropractors have extensive training in assessing musculoskeletal conditions involving the spine and joints, as well as the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and other extremities.
MANUAL THERAPY & MOBILITY
Treatment may include soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization, stretching, mobility work and other hands-on approaches selected according to your condition, goals and your chiropractor's training.
EXERCISE & REHABILITATION
Chiropractic care can include exercise, strength, mobility and movement-based rehabilitation. Like physiotherapy, the goal may be to restore function and help you return to work, sport, exercise or everyday activity.
ADDITIONAL TREATMENT & DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS
Depending on clinical need and the chiropractor's training and qualifications, care may incorporate modalities such as acupuncture or shockwave therapy. Relevant diagnostic imaging and reports may also be reviewed as part of your assessment, with referral for further evaluation when appropriate.
ADJUSTMENTS WHEN APPROPRIATE
Joint or spinal manipulation is one of many tools a chiropractor may use. It does not define chiropractic care. When considered appropriate, it will be discussed with you and only included with your consent. An adjustment does not have to be part of your treatment.
Our chiropractors assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions involving the spine, joints, muscles and extremities. Care can address both acute and persistent concerns, with treatment focused on improving movement, restoring function and helping you return to work, sport and everyday activity.

Our chiropractic care considers the physical demands of sport, training and active lifestyles. Treatment can be tailored to the movements, training loads and performance demands associated with your activity, from recreational exercise to competitive sport.
MOVEMENT & BIOMECHANICS
Assessment isn't limited to where you feel pain. Your chiropractor may assess movement patterns, joint mobility, strength and biomechanics to identify factors that may be contributing to your symptoms or affecting how you move and perform.
MORE THAN ADJUSTMENTS
Chiropractic care at Momentum is not based on a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on your needs and your chiropractor's training, treatment may incorporate manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, mobility work, exercise rehabilitation, acupuncture, shockwave therapy or manipulation when appropriate.
INTEGRATED, COLLABORATIVE CARE
Sometimes chiropractic is one part of the solution. Our chiropractors work within a multidisciplinary clinic and can collaborate with physiotherapy, massage therapy and athletic therapy when another perspective or combined approach may benefit your recovery.
